Mission:
The Middletown Fire Protection District serves the area with many services that are vital to the well-being of the community. The goals and direction of the Distrct are to provide the best available fire protection through the use of extensive training, the most up-to-date equipment, and a desire to not be satisfied with just getting by. We, also, pride ourselves in the area of medical and rescue by maintaining an EMT-B Defib agency. Our mission is to provide these services to the people of our district. This District has a willingness to help the people that we are, indeed, here to serve: the PUBLIC. This common goal is achieved by the teamwork and unselfishness of it’s members. We hope to keep this mission foremost in our career as members of the Middletown Fire Protection District.
Message from our Trustees:
|
Thank you for visiting the Middletown Fire Protection District website! Our Trustees, Officers, and members would like to extend an invitation to you to learn more about our District! We are always looking for dedicated individuals to join Fire, Rescue, or both! We are striving to have all our members Firefighter II certified for Fire while Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) is needed for Rescue.
However, the best way to learn more is to get in touch with us in person! We look forward to hearing from you soon! |
History:
The Middletown Fire Protection District was established in 1955 by Middletown, IL residents that recognized the value of local fire suppression. For several years, the focus of the District was only fire suppression. The Rescue Squad, which is responsible for Emergency Medical Services, was added to the District in the 1980s.
